Have you been watching the Olympics in Rio? The most remarkable characteristics of these athletes are their persistence, their consistent drive to work, their sacrificial dedication to the fulfillment of the dream, and their willingness to persevere until hopefully, the dream is realized. You have to admit that it is absolutely AMAZING! All of this holds true for those who end up with gold, as well as those who come in last.
One of the keys to the fulfillment of a goal is endurance. When you really mull over all that is involved in enduring toward a goal, it becomes obvious that it entails much more than the ‘stick and stay’! First, endurance is often preceded by inspiration. But, inspiration alone is not enough to produce the kind of endurance it takes to fulfill a dream. Motivation is the catapult that creates the force, and energy to continue toward the goal. But still, inspiration and motivation though important, are not enough to produce the kind of endurance necessary to get to the finish line, and beyond. Perseverance becomes the side by side partner of endurance that enables one to capture the resolve it takes to complete the work; and there you have it! It’s the perfect venue for ‘endurance’.
At times I have set goals that seemed almost impossible to attain. To be honest, I don’t know what ever made me think I was going to able to accomplish what I set out to do but, by taking one step at a time, meeting the challenges of one obstacle at a time, it happened. Whenever the decision is made to accomplish a goal, there are valleys of doubt to overcome. There are always speed bumps that want to slow things down. Still, through it all, as long as there is determination, and vision, the dream will endure, and come to fruition. At those times, we can take a lesson from Nemo and Dorey, and just “keep swimming, keep swimming, keep swimming.”
Moonplay was built on a vision, a dream, determination, and years of experience; and we continue to endure. There have been speed bumps in the road along the way. But make no mistake, the inspiration, motivation, perseverance, and resolve continue to drive us closer and closer to bringing you the most amazing and innovative products you will ever experience. The decision has been made, and speed bumps will not stop us. We will endure until the goal is accomplished. We’re just going to “keep swimming, keep swimming, keep swimming” with enthusiasm and resolve! Thanks to all of you who are enduring with us, and to the others, come on, jump in! The water is fine!
